I was born and raised in Charleston, SC and played competitive sports throughout my time at Ashley Hall.  While a student at Clemson University, I played sports recreationally, but wasn’t sure how to be an athlete after high school athletics.  In 2002, I received a B.A. from Clemson in French and International Trade and worked at a non-profit writing grants and organizing special events.  During this time, I realized my passion was to champion for other people – I am incredibly grateful to fulfill this passion by teaching my clients and sharing knowledge about movement and health.

In 2005, I dramatically shifted my lifestyle and that forged the way for healthier habits.  My Pilates practice and pre-graduate work in nutrition led to Pilates becoming both a personal practice and profession.  In 2006, I completed my 600-hour comprehensive Pilates certification from Power Pilates.

In 2007, I moved back to Charleston to teach Pilates at The Mindful Body and to educate myself further in various areas of movement, nutrition and wellness-related practices.  In 2018, I completed my Level 1 GYROTONIC training.

I am grateful for the support of my husband, Jason; son, Reese and dog, Morris.
