STACIE BARBER, OWNER, SENIOR PILATES + GYROTONIC® INSTRUCTOR, LICENSED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST + INTEGRATIVE LIFESTYLE COACH

Why do you love teaching?

Teaching allows me to connect with the most amazing individuals and provides a deeply nourishing creative outlet in my life. I have always held the desire to help others and teaching truly allows me to do that in such a powerful way.

Why do you love the Mindful Body Studio?

I love the Mindful Body because it is a family. It is a space of healing and full of love. The moment you walk through the doors, you know you are somewhere special. I most love the joy that radiates from our incredible instructors and clients. It is one of a kind!

What is your teaching approach or philosophy?

My philosophy is, and always has been, to meet the clients exactly where they are at any given moment. Allowing each and every one to be totally HUMAN in their bodies, minds and spirits. Taking the good with the not so good, and holding space for them exactly where they are at. I believe that our systems are always working to bring us to our most healthy and well states of being, and I am simply an assistant to that overarching truth.

It is a great space with an amazing team.  It is an expansive family.

What is your teaching approach or philosophy?

Pilates is for everyone.  Joseph Pilates overcame so much with his own movement modality.  It meets people where they are and helps safely strengthen weaknesses, or stabilize when needed to effectively work around them.  When clients feel great after a Pilates session the teacher does too!

What is your teaching approach or philosophy?

I love to meet my clients where they are at for that day and in that moment, there are no two bodies the same, come as you are. I like to apply functional movement with the use of many different tools depending on what my clients need for their bodies for that day, weather it be Pilates, GYROTONIC® , stretching, therapeutic movement or releases. My goal for my each of my clients is to restore and educate so they can integrate all the possibilities their bodies have to move throughout life with more ease and less pain.
